- Karnan
The tale of Karnan centres on a village where a young man named Karnan waits to join the military. The pit of humiliations meted out to them begins when the villagers are compelled to use the bus stop in a nearby village. The Tamil movie Karnan, directed by Mari Selvaraj, is about the village’s struggle for dignity in the face of a system that is cruelly stacked against them.
- Aravan
Vasantha Balan was the director of the 2012 film. Aravan is b ased on the bestselling book Kaaval Kottam. Aadhi, Dhansika, Malayalam actor Kavi, Pasupathy, and Kabir Bedi play the key parts in the movie. Actor Bharath appeared in a cameo role. In the Hindi dubbed version, the Tamil movie was titled Jungle The Battleground.
- Kochadaiiyaan
Rajnikant and Deepika Padukone co-starred in Kochadaiiyaan by Soundarya R. Ashwin (2014). The historical film marked the debut of fully computer-generated stereoscopic cinema in India. Kochadaiiyaan ‘s plot centres on a son’s quest for vengeance for his father’s name and his kingdom. Jackie Shroff was also cast in the film in addition to Rajnikant and Deepika Padukone. Parshita Chaudhary, Sunil Lulla, Sunanda Murali Manohar, and Siddharth Prakash worked together to produce the film.
- Paradesi
Paradesi is a historical movie that is set in British-ruled India. The novel Red Tea (1969), written by Dr Paul Harris Daniel, was translated into Tamil as Eriyum Panikadu for the movie. He modelled the characters in the book on the folks he encountered while serving as a doctor on tea estates in the Western Ghats. It is the story of Rasa and his fellow villagers, who were misled into labouring on a tea plantation and forced into slavery.
- Madarasapattinam
The story takes place in the pre-Independence era when a son of a dobhi named Parithi (Arya) and a British woman, Amy Wilkinson (Amy Jackson) fall in love. The lovers were unable to reconcile due to the families’ harsh opposition, and the heroine returned to her home nation. Amy returns to India after 50 years to find her long-lost sweetheart. One of the best Tamil movies ever released, without a doubt. An excellent movie to entertain the family!
- Kaaviya Thalaivan
The film centres on a theatrical group set in the pre-independence era. It focuses on the rivalry between Kaaliappa (Siddharth) and Gomathi (Prithviraj). Kaaviya Thalaivan tells the tale of Drona (Nassar) and his talented pupils Arjun (Prithviraj) and Ekalavya. The movie has frequent references to Mahabharat (Siddharth). Kaaviya Thalaivan is directed by Vasanthabalan and stars Siddharth, Prithviraj, Vedhika and Anaika Soti as key characters, while Nassar, Thambi Ramaiah, Ponvannan, Mansoor Ali Khan and others play supporting roles.
