Defending Champions Mumbai Indians are among the most popular teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Mumbai Indian’s fans have high hopes for the team this year based on MI’s bang performances in the last few seasons. Past IPL Title of Mumbai Indians (MI)
- IPL 2013
MI captain Rohit Sharma led the Mumbai Indians to their first win at the IPL. The team defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final of 2013 IPL. MI had great players onboard like Kieron Pollard, Lasith Malinga and Mitchell Johnson. The team was clinically well-balanced throughout the tournament, which led to the MI winning the trophy.
- IPL 2015
The apt balance of players in the team helped MI to win the title for the second time in IPL. MI was firing on all cylinders with a strong batting line-up. Players like Simmons, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayadu and Kieron Pollard were in the batting unit. Malinga led MI’s bowling department. In the end, Mumbai Indians became among the third team to win the IPL title more than once.

In IPL 2019, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings met again to battle in the finals. However, the MI team successfully defeated CSK and became the IPL champions for a record 4th time. With this, Mumbai Indians became the most victorious team in IPL history.
- IPL 2020
Reigning champions Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals and won the title for the 5th time. The team aced the match by 5 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 final. Living up to the ‘Hitman’ title Captain Rohit Sharma became the star of the show with 68 runs from 51 balls. Ishan Kishan and Krunal Pandya vigorously got the team over the finishing line with eight balls remaining and five wickets in hand.
